Artisan Marine Contractor Insurance

An Artisan Marine contractor is an individual or company which specializes in repair or service of boats, yachts or commercial vessels of a specific nature. Marine Insurance House can tailor coverage for a broad range of repair and service artisan contractors. Coverage can be written on a composite policy, moll and general liability written on a combined police or if the artisan contractor is too large to qualify for a composite program coverage can be written on standalone policies.

Insurance Coverage for Maritime Service Businesses

Marine Insurance House provides a broad range of artisan marine contractor insurance for those who specialize in the repair of recreational and light commercial vessels.

Services performed tend to be lighter repair and service work as opposed to those marine contractors involved in heavy marine engine repair or marine transmission work. Eligibility is restricted by most insurance carriers to insured’s with less than $500,000. annual receipts.

Work generally occurs at offsite locations for example, marinas and or boatyards though some Artisan contractors do have a fixed location.
These policies are designed by the carriers to be easy to rate and bundle coverage in one policy to reduce the cost to the insured.
